Jason´s Fleece existed about a year during 1970-71.
The main body of the
group was
Sam Ellison
(guitar, vocal,songwriter), Hawkey Franzén(guitar,vocal,
songwriter)
and Björn J:son Lindh(pi,flute,arranger). Other members were
Jan
Bandel(drm,perc), Georg
Jojje Wadenius(electric bass), Red
Mitchell(contra bass), Kenneth
Arnström(saxophones),
Göran Lagerberg - (electric bass) and
Janne "Loffe"
Carlsson(drm).
During that year the group recorded a LP "Jason´s
Fleece"(Mercury), did a TV-program with and about the group live at the Circus
in Stockholm, produced
by Leif Ahldal, did appearance in TV-musicprogram "Allsköns Musik"(All kind of
music) with Isa Quensel and Carl-Anton Axelsson as hosts, did appearances in the Consert Hall
in Stockholm, Gröna Lund main stage, the Golden Circle, University Corps and some
jazzclubs.

(Some appearances, in Gröna Lund f.ex., went under the name Sam & Hawkey, with, in principal, Jason´s Fleece as backing group...)
